JAIN housing people are the worst kind of dacoits that you will ever come across.
If you show any interest in their property they will send their marketing team like hunting dogs and give you all false promises.
This has happened to me and some 500 families who booked their house in JAIN Housing project called Green Acres in pallavaram Chennai.
We were told that handover of the flats will be happen in October 2006. It is almost going to be one year and flats are still not complete. the whole project is at around 60% completion on its 10 month of delay.
The JAINS management kept tricking us by giving false reasons for the delay and kept telling us that it will be handedover within next 2 month…then 2 months…then 1 month….and so on.
People are paying huge EMIs and rents to stay in their present homes and are waiting endlessly to move into their homes, which seems like a mere dream. Lot of people have started selling their houses because of this deadlock. The agreement stated clearly that they will pay us compensation, but the JAIN builders staright away told us that they cannot pay us the compensation.
The owners of the 500 flats made a yahoo group to discuss their problems and next steps….but have remained defeated in front of this sitaution.
The Jainhousing & Constructions Ltd company has started targeting other projects without completeing this one - Now some of the affected families have decided to go the press with their grievieances and some have decided to sue JAIN housing.

From a frustated customer, I bought a flat in Jains, Pallavaram, I second the above post, I wanted to let people know that Jains have many lawers than engineers and you are going to fall in to a deep stress if you buy in JAINS. Please stop if you had any plans. THEY HAVE A VERY WORST MANAGEMENT WHO NEVER BOTHER ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS and will CHEAT you in all aspect and take money cleverly.
Never buy a house/flat from Jains.They cheat both customers and goverment.

Both JAIN housing & Chitra Construction (@ Pallavaram Projects) people are the same in making false promises and have record of more than 3 years delay in handing over of flats.
If you show any interest in their property, they will make false promises (within next five months of handover), but it is not in months, but it is in years.
Friends, please do not fall into the death trap of Chitra Constructions @ Pallavaram which is very next to Jain Housing Flats,Pallavaram who is following same footsteps of Jain Housing in delay……

The real educated engineers sit in AC offices in T-nagar, its the mazons and supervisors who ultimately build your house…. These supervisors recieve communication from the engineers in English…. a language which Supervisors cant even understand.
The actual engineers to whom we communicate our concerns/amendments..etc are never seen at the site… So just imagine how well your house will turn out to be.

Chitra constuctions is the worst one on earth.
they are born cheaters and will go to any extent to cheat the customers.
they promised to deliver in two months and now its 1year2months, and still the same story.
i dont know what to do. now they are asking for some 40000Rs as sales tax.i dont know why we should pay the sales tax. if anybody about this please tell me
I have also bought a house in the above mentioned Chitra Constructions and i agree that there is delay and it is causing lot of discomfort to the folks who bought the house (including me). That said, i don’t want to sound completely negative about the project. The root cause of the delay for the construction companies all over Chennai and especially for those who undertook huge projects like Chitra and Jains mentioned above have, is that there is absolute lack of Labour. The pool of labourers is very small and Most of the corporates don’t mind shellling out few Lakhs or even few crores more to complete the projects within time and are able to entice the labourers ( with elections around the corner, govt and corporations are doing the same now..)!! And since most of are in IT, where there is nothing called labour, leave alone issue, we will find it difficult to understand the issue!!
And without a certain % of work completed, electricty and other related connections cannot be got. So at the end of the day, the project is delayed by weeks, months and yrs.
I don’t agree with potraying the management as vultures and the project as death trap. I assume those who left comments are still dealing with the management and are going to go and live there!!
To those of you reading these comments and planning to buy a house anywhere - If you book early, you get a good price deal, but also u will face a delay - bigger the project, longer the delay. If u book late, you may get the flats soon, but you got to shell out more!!
Coming to other points - since the place is not yet occupyable, i have given 5/10 for most. Still, a few things like construction, new sewage connection etc are good. Chitra Cons was affordable some time back.. now i think it is costly. The price correction seen in real estate in Chennai is not yet reflected here. Finally to sign off, the place is good. Fast devoloping area (i would say, whole of Pallavaram is).. but i think it would be a bit congested.. with more than couple of thousand families having bought flats there ( Jains and Chitra ) and seems that area is only going to get more congested ( After opening up of the Dargha road subway ).
Location - both an advantage and a disadvantage depending on how you look at.

i think mr.arun follow the same way( false rating) to sell his flat for nice rate i think he dint go and seen his flat.
These guys are the worst of the lot. I anyone wants to buy from these guys, suggest you do your home work well in advance.
